My Role: Team Leader & Sole Programmer
As the leader of a 5-person team, I took sole responsibility for programming the game's logic and mechanics, while coordinating closely with a team dedicated entirely to visual design and wireframing.

Development & Implementation
What I provided in the project:
- Mechanics & Logic Integration: Engineered the full integration of core gameplay mechanics and logic within GDevelop 5. As the sole developer, I was responsible for ensuring the game functioned smoothly in terms of sound, animation logic, and feel.
- Asset Selection & Animation: Sourced and selected the optimal sound effects to enhance the game's atmosphere. I also used free-to-use sprite assets to greatly reduce time taken.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Maintained constant, rapid communication with the design team. I continuously tested and verified the game's flow against their provided wireframes, requesting and applying design changes iteratively due to strict timeline.
Results & Insights
Developing this game was a really fun experience, though the tight 5-day deadline made it quite a challenge. Effective communication proved essential to our success. Fortunately, the design team was highly responsive, which allowed me to rapidly test their provided assets and apply changes on the fly. This fast-paced collaboration is ultimately what enabled us to deliver a complete game in just over a week.
